In 1975, Judith A. McGee, CFP®, ChFC, joined a firm of six financial planners in Corvallis, Oregon. She became one of the nation’s first women CFP® professionals in 1979 and moved her independent practice to Spokane, Washington, in 1982, serving the medical community.
Judith also served on the National Board of Directors of the Institute for Certified Financial Planners (ICFP) and was the founding president of the ICFP’s Educational Foundation nationally. Simon and Schuster (J.K. Lasser) and Random House approached Judith to author financial planning and investment management books.
D. Linette Dobbins, CFP®, joined the firm in 1988, and in 2000 they formed McGee Financial Strategies, Inc., a registered investment advisor. Linette became an officer and shareholder of the company.
In November 1989, they joined Raymond James Financial Services, Inc., member FINRA/SIPC, as a branch office and relocated to Portland, Oregon, in 1990.
Jennifer Currin Gutridge, CFP®, joined the team in 1992 and is now a Vice President serving on the management team and investment committee.
All three principals are Oregon natives whose family histories date back to the mid-1800s. They bring this pioneering spirit, family values and dedication to all they do. The company was renamed McGee Wealth Management, Inc. (MWM), in 2012 and serves clients throughout the Northwest and across America.
